¡ADIOS!

[Maxi Dress: Primark | Hat: H&M]

¡ADIOS!
Just a quick post today (www on a Sunday, that's not in the routine) to say its going to go a little quiet around these parts for a little while. I'm jetting off on holiday in the early hours so I thought, before I go, I show you what I'll be wearing to travel in.
Of course, as I'm going on holiday I obviously have dressed like I'm attending a funeral.. doh Lisa. This is all unintentional, I actually hadn't realised until I've looked back at these pictures haha, oh well, I've decided to wear this black maxi dress from Primark. It's made in the comfy t-shirt material that maxi dresses often are and will honestly feel so nice sitting down in for a long period of time.
The hat.. well the hat is for decorative purposes in these pictures, but don't get me wrong, it doesn't leave my head once the sun hits. It's like the most dramatic hat ever, but I feel fab and my scalp doesn't burn HAHA IDEAL!

Anyway, I apologies if there is anyone out there who cares, but there won't be a blog post up until next week.. oh I can here you all crying already hahaha adios amigas.

The First Few Days of.. Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream

Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream

Over course its no lie I'm an over spender and my latest purchase right here is no exception - the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. I've heard endless good things about this product and although quite pricey at £70, I thought I'd take the plunge and pray to god above it works, literally, like magic.
Like the title suggests, I'm going to talking about how I feel after using it for a few days, I can't comment if its changed my skin in any way or if it has actually worked magically, but I can comment my impressions so far.
To begin with, its quite a thick moisturiser in the sense that a little goes a long way, I did find myself putting on too much the first couple of times and then I found myself really having to rub it in. But to be honest, once it is rubbed in it really doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. I usually use it now, in the evenings and if say, I've put it on at 8.30pm after being for a shower, by the time I go to bed at around 10pm, its sunk in and my skin really does feel softer.  It doesn't sit uncomfortably, I have found with same thick moisturisers, 2 hours later I can still feel I thick on my skin, but with this it really sinks in and really feels like its actually doing something.

With me not needing a lot to cover my face, I really do feel (and hope) it will last a long time as the pot does offer a generous helping. The packaging it comes in is literally breath taking too, ok I know that's a little dramatic, but genuinely, the rose gold/copper coloured lid is so luxurious with the pot itself being glass - its such a sight for the eyes!
I have watched a video on Charlotte herself talking about the cream, saying she made a version of this years ago and would use it on models such as Kate Moss, they would then always ask for her to use her 'magic' moisturiser - his really does tempt the saying 'if its good enough for them..'
Like I said, I cannot comment on how well its doing to my skin, I can only really give an honest review once I've (tragically) finished the post, which for the record I hope is in the not-so-foreseeable future. For the time being I'll continue to apply this regularly and hope that that Tilbury Magic gives me eternal youth... well it does say its magic on the pot, doesn't it?!

Good Citizen Points

Before I start I have to say I feel a kind of a bit like I'm boosting with this post, yano the whole 'look at me I did charity work, give me the crown jewels and an OBE' - well, I can honestly say this is not what its about, I simply wanted to write about how much fun I had and keep it on this blog as a little memory for the future!
On Saturday I went to a village not too far from where I live and helped out with a local charity called 'Awyr Las' welsh for 'Blue Sky' - its a cancer charity which helps fund better healthcare in North Wales. As my mum works on the cancer ward in our local hospital, she works closely with the people who run this charity, so when she mentioned that an event was being held and they needed volunteers, I thought it would be a great thing to do.
As my granddad died of cancer a few years back, I really felt it would be so rewarding helping out and even though I only gave out lanyards and water bottled, and gave directions, its the little things that help.

Her Head Was Up In Space

[Shirt: Zara | Jeans: Topshop | Boots: Next (old)]

So here's the question of the day - I'm I, Lisa Gibson really cool enough to pull off Space Buns. Somehow I'm thinking no, but I gladly carried on wearing them all throughout Sunday regardless. Yes, I did only leave the house once quickly to go to my friends house, but I am thinking may be in the area I live I would get the odd strange look or five for my hair being slightly out of the ordinary... I may re-visited this style in a couple of years when perhaps I'm a little cooler (which I very much doubt HA)
ANYWAY, that's enough taking the piss out of myself and sarcasm, I'll talk a bit about the my day/ outfit shall I?! - Well, yesterday was a very quiet day really, yes I did leave the house once but that was to simply head over to my friends house in the next village and feed her cat, she's on holiday in Tuscany (which I'm so incredibly jealous about) so I roped in some good friend points and have helped out all week. Although I wasn't really doing anything that required my hair to be done or makeup to be applied, I just feel so much more productive if I'm made up - anyone else?!
Because I'm on holiday next week I've tried to organise a few posts for while I'm away, I don't want to completely abandon my blog, so productive Lisa was in full swing this Sunday... space buns an all hahaha. I decided to give my new Zara shirt its debut, you will have seen it in my shopping haul a few posts back and it honestly so comfy and loose, ideal for wanting-to-get-things-done-but-don't-want-to-be-uncomfortable, you know that type of outfit, right?! As always, I wore my Topshop Leigh jeans which I can honestly say I live in, they're so comfy but aren't slouchy, which makes me not wants to sit about - Am I making sense, do you become more productive if you're wearing proper clothes instead of joggers and a baggy hoodie?!.. answer on a postcard..!

Planning for Dress Weather☼

[Dress: Boutique of Molly | Sandals: Primark (very old)]

So probably for the millionth time by now I'm writing my absolute glee at the fact my holiday is in a couple of weeks, boy I'm exited. As I will shortly be jetting off, I thought it was about time I planned a few outfits, I'm reeeally not the gal who packs the night before, I'm that crazy women who packs about a fortnight before there's no harm in being organised - so in order to prepare my 'case, here's one outfit thats ticked on the list - a beautiful greek-styled dress from Boutique of Molly. I've collaborated with them before, so when they asked again, I jumped at the chance. This dress seems the perfect holiday dress as it floaty and light - perfect for when I get the inevitable sunburn. The blue accents really finish this off, so when I saw it in all it glory on the website I could not resist buying it!
Within my 'holiday outfits' plan, I have very similar outfits to this, Its almost a must when you go abroad to wear clothes that aren't too tight and have plenty of ventilation - I'm really not at one with heat, I can't handle it in this country let alone somewhere 20 degrees hotter.
Paired with this dress, I will definitely bring my trusty brown strappy sandals, I bought them literally 3/4 years ago and they've been through some good times (and survived) - I'm still on the look at out for new pair, because these are starting to get a bit grubby, but I think I can get one more holiday out of them haha - these Ted Baker ones are top of the list, please good can they just come back into stock!!

Anyway, here is one outfit that will definitely be packed neatly in my suit case, regardless of sunburnt shoulders/ knees/ nose/ everything, I'm sure it will look perfect strolling down a promenade or sipping on cocktails in some bar.. aaah get me on that plane already!

Uncontrollable Spending

I think its clear by now, if you have read my blog for a while that I spend a lot on clothing. Yes, call me materialistic, but different things makes people happy in life and mine just happens to be clothes.. well clothes from Zara to be precise haha
On Saturday me and my mum went shopping to Liverpool and well, damage was done. I did have the sole purpose of only buying clothes for my holiday and that I did, well kind of. If you read my 'The Holiday Shopping List' post last week you will have seen four key items I was on the hunt for - well the conclusion of that was 1/4, the Next beach bag was snapped up without failure (side note, its even more beaut in real life) but the other three I failed to even find. Instead I found some lovely blouses in Zara which I know I can pair with denim shorts for one evening. You'll see above, I bought the boho style, top thing (bottom right on the top photo!) and a lace cropped vest to go underneath. Also, a beautiful stripped shirt, which is so airy and I just know will not leave my back.
Adding to that, (yeah I did go a bit cray in Zara) I bought a mesh-type blouse in white which looks lovely with some material shorts I bought a few weeks ago.. and finally, a not-so--summery-purchase, a cream jacket. Its light coloured, but quite thick so I'd 100% be a sweaty mess if I wore it on a summers day, but its so beautiful I just couldn't leaving it on the hanger!
An item I actually left on the shelf, but went back at the end of the day to actually buy it in the fear of total regret, was the absolutely stunning, dusky pink bag. Its small but the design of it is so pretty that I haven't stopped staring, I don't have an a huge bag collection so a small addition like this is allowed.. she says, haha.

The only non-fashion buy of the day was an ultimate splurge, The Charlotte Tilbury 'Magic Cream'. I'd heard great things about this cream and when I saw it in all its glory, in front of my eyes I just could not resist. It seems like a very luxury face cream and I'm absolutely praying to god it doesn't break me out or I'm somehow allergic because this was ridiculously expensive but I going to take faith in it actually having magically powers and not a single wrinkle will ever develop on my face.. cross bloody fingers haha

Six of Sixteen So Far

Before you start rolling your eyes at me, yes I too am one of those people that has uttered the phrase 'Its June already, where has this year gone?!?!' - Come one, I thing everyone is a bit scared at the fact we already half way through the year when it only feels like yesterday we were watching the fireworks off the London Eye on TV.
Well since we have reached the six month mark, I thought I do a sort of six month review of how my year has gone. I've been saying this is officially the first year of my life were my life runs from a January to a December, with school it always seemed to be September to August, so this is a year of a little drastic change. Anyway, if this was a TV show, this would be my highlights reel of all the best happenings so far in 2016.. just without the music haha.

The Holiday Shopping List

Its only just dawning on me that its this month I go on holiday and since its only in the last week or so its actually showed any sign of summer, its really shown me how very little items I actually have to go one holiday. So naturally me and my mum have planned to go holiday shopping on Saturday and buy aaaall the clothes. As we are going to a big city to do our shopping with all the big shops (god, I sound like the most rural person ever haha!) I've actually made a list of things I'm going to get.
I made this list last night and thought I'd put it on this little blog so all you reading to can a look at what I am going to buy for my holiday.
Obviously, these all may look horrendous is real life but for now these are top of the shopping list.

1. Sandals from Ted Baker ~ All my 'holiday' sandals are literally years old now, so I really want to invest in a new pair, these seem really comfy and I just love the colours. I do think though I will have to try them on because I have a slight worry they may look a little too clumpy on my feet, but these are definitely things I need to have a look at.

2. Summer Dress from Zara ~ Zara cannot do anything wrong in my eyes, so when I'm anywhere near the shop I must look in, I've seen this stripy/ off the shoulder dress and seems absolutely perfect for evenings sipping cocktails and soaking in the last of the days sun, agreed?!

3. Swimsuit from Ted Baker ~ Right, this is really something I may need to try on because boy, that front bit, I really don't know if I'm cool enough (or have big enough boobs) to pull it off. It's beautiful but I'll really have to try it on first!

4. Beach Bag from Next~ This literally looks like a Victoria Secret bag, its so summery and I love the pink and white strips. I have no doubt it will be even more beautiful in real life, so I can guarantee this will be something I'll come home with.. lets just bloody hope they have it in stock!

Naranja

[Jumpsuit: F & F | Sunglasses: River Island (similar) | Wedges: Next (similar)]

So this is a bit of an impromptu outfit post because originally I was going to take a little break from blogging, because a combination of having five thousand other things to do and not having a single thing in my wardrobe I liked, made me just want to take a breather. But sometimes one little thing can spur you on and suddenly you feel great again. Well, as sad as this sounds, this jumpsuit single-handily made feel great and I couldn't wait to blog about it hahaha, yep my life people..

As it is still currently thirty thousand degrees here in Wales (believe me its never this sunny is Wales, so I have no idea how to acclimatise to the weather!)
My mum originally bought this jumpsuit end of last week and said it 'didn't look right on' so naturally I tried it on. Turns out it fitted me quite well and just had to keep it, so all through Sunday I wore it and felt fab. The handy thing is, this will be a great outfit for my holiday at the end of the month, its light and airy and doesn't show too much flesh to feel uncomfortable. I find because of my height, jumpsuits can never be long enough, meaning I either have my bum on show or a very severe wedgie, #tallpersonproblems

Sometimes people (including myself oops) can turn their noses at people buying clothes from places like Asda or Tesco, well this F & F of Tesco playsuit would not look out of place being sold of ASOS. With it being only £16 too, you literally cannot go wrong.. here's to another evening outfit planned for Ibiza, omg I'm so exited for my holiday now!

Sun, Sun, Sun All Over Our Faces

So lets rewind back to Monday, were I was graced with the luxury of a day off.. aah bank holidays you are the best. Currently in the UK we are having a mini (mini) heat wave and my god its bloody lovely. As it was so lovely on Monday me and my bestie decided it was too nice to stay in, all boring, so we went for a coffee (obviously) and went for a really long walk around a local small town. It was such a lovely day, we basically walked, sat on a wall near the sea and chatted for hours, these are the best days!
Unfortunately I didn't realise how hot it really was and ended up with one hell of a sunburnt left arm (lol just my left one) because when we were sat on a wall chatting, the sun was to the side of us.. doh Lisa.. so out came the Aloe Vera as soon I got in.

In terms of my outfit, I obviously gave my #ArchivebyAlexa trousers another spin, they are just too comfy, seriously! - also I wore my Zara blouse I purchased a few weeks ago, its made one or two appearances all ready on this blog, so no introductions needed.
Here's to hoping this glorious weather sticks around longer, I needed more days like this, being stuck inside shivering isn't half as fun!
